Saura's Dresser Mansion Bridal Session | Tulsa Oklahoma Wedding Photographer

Don’t get me wrong – I absolutely love the thrill of a wedding day. There’s an insane amount of energy poured into coordinating every vendor and every participant, there’s the mad dash to fix inevitable snafus, and it’s a race against the clock to keep everything on schedule. Does it keep me up at night sometimes? Sure! But I live for it!

That said… sometimes a lady needs a break from the madness of it all, and that’s where bridal sessions come in! For those unacquainted, a bridal session takes place days (or even weeks) before the actual wedding day, and gives the photographer (ME!) an opportunity to photograph the bride without any sort of pressing time constraints. Naturally, that makes for some seriously dreamy pictures, and that’s exactly what we got during my bridal session with Saura, who just tied the knot with Greg last Saturday!

The session took place at the Dresser Mansion in min-day, which made for the prettiest light of your life! Saura said she purchased her dress from Bella Rose and fell in love with it the instant she tried it on! Doesn’t she look GORGEOUS?

The dreamiest bridal session in Oklahoma City

This session was nothing short of an adventure - we had one hour to beat a rainstorm and one of the strongest-looking rain wall clouds I've ever seen!  Lauren had a beautiful vision, and I was thrilled to be the one to document it.

Special thanks to Lauren's Mom to help fix her dress, her Aunt & Uncle contacting their church friends to use their land, and to Danglin' C Farms with Chuck and Carla.  It was such a blast to see their farm - including the Momma duck protecting her eggs, the chicken who jumped to Carla's arm to see what she was looking at on her phone, and their donkey & horses!  Thank you all so much for a collaborative effort to beat the rain and create such a great experience.
