Meet the Dancers of RACE Hip-Hop Nutcracker | Oklahoma City Dance Photographer

It's that time of year!  Mistletoe, Christmas lights, and what's that I hear?  It's not dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, but a new twist on a Christmas tradition.  Meet the dancers of RACE, RACE JR, Men of RACE, and the numerous high school dance programs partnered to bring you a Hip-Hop Nutcracker on December 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Bishop McGuinness High School.

This year we've amped up the performance with the addition of Producers and DJ’s from Starship Playground, Ben Edison and Chase Arnold, who will spin music live during the shows.

Like the original Nutcracker, the Hip Hop Nutcracker follows the journey of a young man who seeks to find some thing that is missing in his life, only to discover it exists within himself. The difference is high-energy music and dance styles that incorporate many more twists and turns than traditional Nutcrackers. The take away for the audience is the message of perseverance, family and holiday spirit.

Here's a list of the OKC High School dance programs involved this year:

Capitol Hill High School
Douglass High School
Millwood High School
Northwest Classen High School
Putnam City West High School
Putnam City North High School
U.S. Grant High School

We hope to see you December 5, 6 or 7! Tickets are simply to purchase, just click on the link: http://tickets.racedance.com
